Architelos’ NameSentry℠ Abuse Mitigation Service Adopted by 44% of New Generic Top Level Domains.

Rightside Joins Donuts in Adopting NameSentry

LEESBURG, Va., May 1 2014—Architelos, Inc., the premier provider of automated domain name abuse detection and mitigation services, announced it has reached 44% market share for its SaaS based NameSentry abuse detection and mitigation service. According to ICANN, it has signed registry agreements for 386 new generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs); a signed registry agreement is the first and critical step in the launch of any new gTLD. Architelos has implemented, or is in the process of implementing NameSentry abuse detection and mitigation service for 172 or 44% of the new gTLDs. “We invested in NameSentry ahead of the market, and it is now in use by existing as well as new gTLDs for almost two years,” said Alexa Raad, CEO of Architelos. “This is a wonderful milestone for us to achieve.”

Architelos recently concluded an agreement with Rightside™ for providing NameSentry abuse detection and mitigation service for all gTLDs operated on Rightside’s registry platform. The agreement covers implementation of NameSentry for all of the strings applied for by Rightside Registry and those applied for by Donuts. “We carefully considered the new service providers and came to the conclusion that Architelos’ NameSentry was the right choice for Rightside and Donuts TLDs. It is another step in fulfilling our commitment to combat potential abuses and add protections that intentionally exceed those required by ICANN” said Jeff Eckhaus, SVP Market Development and Policy at Rightside.

Architelos’ pioneering NameSentry service enables new gTLDs to not only comply with regulatory requirements for managing security threats such as domain name abuse, but also to build and maintain a safe and reputable namespace, with low commitment and low overhead.
